Artist Biography

Frank Walker is a retired Marriage and Family Therapist. Before that he taught for 31 years as a high school art teacher. Walker and his wife moved to the Central Coast full-time four years ago and have immersed themselves in the Cambria community life. He is very active in the Cambria Arts Center and the annual scarecrow festival.

Walker has a bachelor's degree from Grambling State University in Louisiana, where he was an intern in the National Teacher Corps program that works on site with underserved school districts. He holds a master's degree in art from Fresno State University. Walker also has master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix in Fresno.

Walker's bright, whimsical Toy Show exhibit of paintings and drawings feature quintessentially classic toys like teddy bears, robots, and sock monkeys, and exude joy and delight. It is impossible to view these works without smiling.
