Nigel Paul

Artist Biography

Born in London, England, Nigel Paul first landed in the U.S. a week after graduating in Psychology from Bristol University. Following a three-month stay in New York he relocated to San Francisco, where an unlikely series of events led him into the field of audio engineering. He went on to spend over thirty years touring the world as the concert sound mixer for a roster of high-profile artists. Being an avid photographer, he always made the most of the photographic opportunities this afforded him, richly documenting every trip. A million and a half flying miles later, photography emerged as his new full-time profession. Nigel Paul resides in Cambria, on California's Central Coast.

For those unfamiliar with metal prints, they represent a relatively new medium for presenting photographs, heat-infusing dyes directly into specially-coated aluminum sheets. While they are very durable and highly fade-resistant, they are not indestructible and should be handled with care. As with any photographic materials, it is inadvisable to expose them to prolonged direct sunlight. They can be cleaned safely with a microfiber cloth and water or any non-ammonia-based window cleaner.

PLEASE NOTE: all the photographs on display can be metal-printed in a wide range of sizes. They are also available as unmatted, unframed, exhibition-quality paper prints. You are welcome to contact the photographer directly for details of sizes and prices,
